I can't wait any longer.

I had patience for something that wasn't ment to be, and I didn't know it.

Over 4 months, I have been trying to make effort and hint to you that you should take action.

But no, you let it drag.

Every week, at least once do I have to worry about you.

But nothing. No sms, no call, no msg on MSN. It is always I who has to do the talking.

If you think I am not worthy, or you are too busy, then why not be considerate and be more direct??

Waste of time. Seriously.

Before I mention the topic, I will talk about RI audience's attitude compared to Dunman -- softer cheering, a couple of bored faces and a few more lol.

The topic for today is:
With great publicity comes great responsibility: Media has highlighted mostly celebrities' poor morals

Not the exact title, but it's roughly like that.

I think RI's performance was mediocre. Not that I am certified to judge, but in my opinion as an audience that how it seems to me. It's not very outstanding persay, other than the first speaker's rather aggresive debating skills. Still, i prefer their arguments compared to Dunman. More solid.

So let's see, you have Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, Edison Chen, some Black rappers getting busted for drugs, nicole kidman and tom cruise, tom cruise on couch etc. etc.
I can think of so many bloody examples for supporting the stand. I must say, I just cant think of counter examples, shucks i noob >_>

I think the media really too money-minded, concentrate on all the shit celebrities do. However, it does seem unavoidable. Celebrities are famous people after all, and people are bound to put them in the spotlight eventually. And after all, its all these bitchy gossip that really makes life a bit more interesting =D

Ok no time to talk anymore abt it sian. will continue. i hope.

I have scored and achieved my goal! =D

I was just thinking.

Why do we bother to commemerate days? I mean fair enough for days to remember events like New Year, Xmas etc, but how bout others like Father's/Mother's Day or Valentine's day?

Grandparents' day? How original. Why bother celebrating anyway? They'd rather die sooner and not suffer they old age ailments

Parents' weekend? 51 weekends of the year is what I call a parents' weekend! Why only see your parents only then?

Earth Day? Global warming occurs daily, and the Earth is slowly dying, yet you put in the bulk of your effort and money on only one day. Hello, Earth is being destroyed everyday!

Days like this involve people doing special fake actions that you have to come up with to prove your feelings. how unsincere.

Next Thursday is Labour Day. Ironic.

I think I proved my point.

I know this isn't the original poster, but I can't find it, so anyway now for my review of Raffles Institution's Army Daze...

Army Daze, for those who don't know, tells the story of a group of boys who grew into men after NS, and this story covers the little incidents they faced that made their NS life interesting and fruitful.

For RI' production, I was surprised they used the PlayDen, cos' its very in front of the audience, and the stage is small, rather than large stage. Somehow I think that helped them, but it also hurt them in other ways.

Because it is so small, it would be very obvious if you were to make a tiny mistake (i.e. actors trying to resist laughing, moving of props etc.), so they should have been more careful.

The storyline was pretty okayishly adapated, i love the punchlines, but a couple of them were unappreciated because it is in the wrong era (e.g. 'asking us (NS men) to have a third child' refers to the baby boom back then, but nobody yesterday got the joke).

Actors wise was pretty good, though I was surprised Elias' chracter 'Ah Beng' wasn't very elaborated on. Zaki pretty much wowed the audience with his feminine poses and behavior! Really damn ah gua!!!! Proded! The Indian couple was classic also, though Valerie K's entrances in and out of stage was sometimes a bit untimely.

For the technicalities, the soundtrack between scenes is obviously looped (as in you can hear the looped effect), and slightly into the second half of the act the mic wasnt turn off and you could hear the commentator talking! Still, it wasn't that bad.

Zach's hair was okay, but Matthew and Gregory was WEIRD lol. And Matthew act macho damn farni lol.

Greg gave me a clue about appearing him in a scene about insecticide, and i was like wtf. In the end I understood =D 2 Flowers for you on Monday! (or tuesday, see how lol)

Overall: 3.5/5 (with biasness involved lar)

Army Dazed! So funny when done by Raffles players!

Elias damn pro as da gangstar, zaki as the QUEEN, and greg as the sergeant *spray spray* LOL

will give full review after it is over, but for now i go sleep =X

Got to recover from my bruises

*EDIT* ok might as well talk about my injury first

Jun Sean and I were running late (pun on running), and chased after jeremy and company who apparently knew the way. It was so dark I didn't notice and tripped over a chain, causing myself to fall foward (lucky no face injury). I definitely didn't bleed or break any bones, but my stomach had excrutiating pain that stunned me literally, couldn't get up for a full 30 seonds. Passer-bys want to call ambulence, but i told them i was okay and continued to run off lol. Worst physical pain in my life.

(A casual poem, inspiritation from Ivan =D)

The man rubbed his eyes tonight
Awoke to find a blinding light
Light brighter than the Sun's Fire
More beautiful than the diamond all people admire

Alas, there comes a group of orbs
Shimmering like the stars above
Takes the form of what it absorbs
And to reveal the person his true love

This may, to some, seem like a poem of affection,
but pray, do tell if it is, because of
the rumours spread around, speaking of tragedy
Or could it really just be
The heart, beating increasingly slower
Lose all feelings, or
the flame, flickering
Slowing going
Out
------------------------------------------------------
RAFFLES DAZE! GO GREG AND ELIAS! =D
Humiliated. Okay not really =P

It is still pretty damn funny though, how our OIP group always have this natural 'compass' of finding each other. Shanzhi, marc, ying rong, justin, tj, marc, and jeremy, all at the same table. Amazing. This is the 3rd time it happened.

And I was especially close to Shanzhi (cos he was hugging and comforting me LOL).

Or, we could have accidently met due to my huge explosion at the canteen -.-

Marc, promise me not to do what you always do -.-"

Chen Wei is the weirdest guy i ever met lol

He's sec 2, but he's actually 16 (doesn't look like one LOL)
From China, but doesnt look the least China Chinese
Chinese is his first language, but his English sounds like his first
Changed CCA, cos Javelin was closing
Wanted to join Cello cos hes a Jay Chou fanatic wtf.

Interesting fellow lol. Find it damn awkward to talk to him cause of his age. Then again, he's sec 2. Hmm.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't stand it. Not that I don't like Chen Wei, he's great

But why must LSH dump another member at this point of time? Bloody inconsiderate. 10 friggin' members, biggest Cello population in RICO history. Running out of freaking cellos to go around.

After I settled the sec 1s, then came Davin and the 2 sec 2s who still noob noob. After I settle them, then comes Chen Wei.

Now I have people of so many different standards. CMI, I have a lot of work cut out for me.

Thank god there's Mr Voo, if not I die =(

In a tiny, tiny room are
Widening, infinite pages
I walked through a novel

Someone is calling me
A real place to which to return
Something will begin again
Everything is inevitable

The role of speaking only of what can be done
Is mine:
My existence,
> yes
> enter

Even if, even if I turn transparent,
If it is impossible for me to disappear,
When I want to see it here, what's born is curiosity

For the answers to change
Even if I try to calculate them
Is the curious charm of
A human's wishing heart

Even if I gain memories, they'll change into code
Even while I understand this,
Around now, there is a
> disk
> error

[shift]
Although I don't know how far it will continue,
[lock]
I am quietly connected to tomorrow, and...

The role of speaking only of what can be done
Is mine:
My existence,
> yes
> enter

Even if I gain memories, they'll change into code
Even while I understand this,
Around now, there is a

I lost.
I am lost.
Found another.
Still as lost.
Shortlived light
Leaving me,
Lost.

Also, thanks Brandon for the special thing. Felt damn nice to have one :)

Hua Yu Ku (Translation: Chinese is cool)

Singapore is an effectively billingual country, and Chinese is used widely for communication, even in a English-origin school like Raffles Institution. In fact, Chinese is now such a popular language that even non-Chinese people have taken it up as their mother tongue. Here is an example of how it is applied:

~During Chem Class~
Guang Yao (a.k.a Pranav): 我要喝你的奶!
Mask Rider (Name changed to prevent lawsuits): 男人没有奶!
Guang Yao: 你不是男人!
Mask Rider: 你不是人!
Guang Yao: 你没有懒 (Obviously you noe what 'lan' refers to)!
Mask Rider: 你的又小又黑!
Guang Yao: 至少我有懒!
------------------------------
To those non-Chinese speaking people, you are encouraged to learn Chinese so that you can read and enjoy such conversations in the future when China invades Singapore's market.

Fell sick today, with a damn bad sore throat and constant painful coughing. Still, it wasn't all in vain. Ponning a boring wednesday is a gd thing, though i missed Crunch time with justin and thye jie =(

And i also met a nice lady at the clinic lol. Randomly talked to my maid and I about her children on how they came from RJC and got offered schloarships etc. etc. Picked up quite a few facts from there. She tried to discouraged me from taking scholarships cos of the bond you have to upkeep. But she's damn smart, she looked at me and knew that I had sore throat, cough and heatiness (i didn't even stifle a choke a in front of her) Also told me about her own uber smart maid who picked up languages very fast, and how she tutored students of her own. The topics led from one to another as time passed, and I was impressed.

*Warning* you are about to be overloaded by Yu-gi-oh! information. After this part of the post, there will be no other interesting information, so you can click away right now if you dont like yu-gi-oh!)

Sunday YGO Tournament:
It was at some ulu hotel, riverview hotel, and the food there was like uber ex! forced to eat instant noodles from the nearby petrol kiosk. not the point though.

Jun Xiang, Kenneth Goh, Victor and Jensen were at the event, but Jun Xiang didnt managed to sign up in time, cos its limited to 150 players only (stupid rule).

Round 1 was pretty sweet, played against a Necro guardna build DAD, but it failed against my deck. His deck was simply slower than mine, and I managed to swarm in quickly with my D.D.R and DMOC combo. I was doing quite well against him in the final round, but he suddenly managed to turn things around with Hades Gors and b4 i knew it i has 1400 LP and a set torrential tribute, and he had a faceup armageddon knight.

If he attacked, I would have died, but NO, he just had to play premature burial and Special Summon Gorz. My torrential tribute could now activate, killing all his monsters, and i swung in directly the following turn.

Round 2 was interesting, against a Bloo-D deck, and I was very surprised during the first round, causing me to lose it. The following 2 rounds were easy to counter since I knew the weaknesses of Bloo-D and sided against him appropriately.

Round 3 was probably the most dumbfounding one: Red Eyes Dark metal Dragon. This guy has lots of money, nad swarmed his dragon mosnters against me. I didn't know how to counter this threat, cos' he is prolly the only one in the tourney with it, so i died badly =/

Round 4 was a walkover =) Took my time and watch a 8-year old girl play with a warrior control deck. yeaps, 8-years old, but she really damn pro, and a future female champion, hands down. She even know what's priority, and shuffles her hand quickly. Reminds me of xiaomei lol.

Round 5 was against Alex from Yishun. At first I was like shit, sure die, but then I found that my deck was a big problem against his, so not much difficulty. However, I got the worst hand in my life during the final match, even he couldnt believe it. I was damn suay. Apparently he said he hadnt had such a tough duel in a long time. I'm glad =)

Round 6 I was feeling damn crappy, so I wasn't playing seroiusly, but I still won anyhow against a slightly noob spellcaster deck.

Final Score: 4/6

Position: 30/150 players

All in all, not bad, gained a lot of experience.

Hee Zhi and I invigilated Mrs Tan's 2I Chinese class today, cos they got zuo wen bi sai (Chinese essay writing competition) like US, the useless competition that makes u waste an hour of your life. Why did I do it? To irritate my junior there muahhaha. No la, main reason was just that it is interesting to change roles for once.

Their topic was on 'it is not a fairytale', and it was damn funny. Some people left damn early, so they wrote only like what, 1 page or a bit more? This guy didn't even finish it. my junior's zhangjie's one was really noob (even i can do much better than that). At least hardworking people like Shaun put up a decent effort =)

And their class has the Korean student so cool~ But sad he doesnt take Chinese.

Test was supposed to end at 1.55, but i wrote on the board that they could leave at 1.45 if they finished. Immediately faces lit up. Those who finished their paper were carrying their bags, preparing for the second hand to reach 12. Damn funny.

Still, their class is an okay one, but as i predicted zhangjie is the noiser one lol. WHen they write chinese essays however, their emo button is pushed. i guess it applies to most singaporean students.

Wish me gd luck for Sunday~

The problem with blogging is that sometimes if you are too busy, and too many exciting things happen in too many days, you come back home to your laptop and think: darn, im too lazy to type it all out. I rather spend my time playing some lame game, or doing my bloody homework that i have been procrastinating for 2 weeks.

The homework still never gets done of course.

Ignoring that fact, blogging is like a woman: the less time you spend with, the more distant and unfamiliar you become with, and you find it very hard to say something
( no offence to the ladies of course)
